He hits shots to the green that are rarely far from the pin.

He strokes putts that are almost always close to the cup.

But Berks County's golfing superhero admits his cape might have been flapping a bit unsteadily heading into the BCIAA boys golf tournament.

His knees might have been knocking ever so slightly beneath his armor.

"It's definitely not the most pressure I ever felt," he said. "But it was there leading up to it. It's hard to ignore it when everyone at school or the rest of my team is like you better win."

The Wyomissing senior - one of the nation's best junior golfers - met everyone's expectations Wednesday at Blackwood Golf Course.

Menon fired a 2-under 68 in the morning and later drained a birdie on his 27th and final hole to finish with a 3-under 103. He won by a staggering nine shots for a record-tying third BCIAA title.

Exeter's Alex Seelig led the rest of the field. The sophomore displayed a steady game on a cool and drizzly day, following a 76 with an even-par 35.
