Information for Coaches

Coaching Information

It is mandatory that all coaches have clearances on file in the athletic office.  There are three clearances.  They are the State Police Criminal Record Check, the Child Abuse Check, and the FBI Check.  Coaches hired before April 1, 2007 need the Criminal Record Check and the Child Abuse Check. The coaches hired after April 1, 2007 need all three.
Teachers who work for the district have these already and will not need to duplicate them.  For new coaches, the clearances must be under one year old. Coaches who have worked for us in the past and left, then returned, must submit new clearances that are less than a year old.

The State Police Criminal Record Check can be obtained online or by submitting a form.

The Child Abuse Clearance can only be obtained by filing a hard copy application to:
Childline and Abuse Registry, Department of Public Welfare.

The FBI Clearance requires a fingerprint and application.  The application can be done online or in person.

To view complete directions for obtaining these Clearances or to view coaching vacancies, go to our Human Resources page.

The Exeter Township School District believes that interscholastic athletics are an integral part of the total education program.  Coaches play an important role the teaching of student athletes.  For this reason, we expect the coaches to abide by the Coaches' Code of Conduct, as listed in this code of conduct document.
