Audrey Dickman

Audrey Dickman has been the certified athletic trainer at Exeter since the fall of 2002.

She came to the area to pursue a Master’s degree from Alvernia College, and initially got placed at Exeter as a graduate assistant. In 2004 Audrey was inducted into Alvernia’s chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda, the national honor society for education graduate students.

Prior to moving to Berks County Audrey received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a major in Athletic Training at Temple University, graduating cum laude and becoming certified in the summer of 2002. Her student athletic training experience offered her the opportunity to work closely with Temple Owl coaches Dawn Staley, John Chaney, and Bob Bertucci. She also worked exclusively with the baseball team at Saint Joseph’s University her senior year.

Audrey is from the Lehigh Valley, where she graduated with honors from Catasauqua High School. During her high school career, she caught for her varsity softball team (earning an honorable county mention her senior year), was in the marching band and indoor colorguard, and sang in the chorus all four years. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and participated in the debate club and stage crew.

Audrey is a certified athletic trainer from the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, and is licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. She is also a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer instructor for the Red Cross, and keeps busy during the summer months teaching in-service courses at Exeter High School. Audrey is a member of the Berks County Scholastic Athletic Trainer’s Association, a group that strives to improve the medical treatment of all athletes in the county by pooling their resources, knowledge, and experience to collaborate and foment change.

Audrey’s goal at Exeter is to provide top-notch care to every athlete. She is dedicated to the education of athletes, parents, coaches, administrators, and school nurses, because she firmly believes that good health starts with good information.

Samantha DiPietro is the newest addition, as assistant athletic trainer, of Exeter Athletics. She is a 2014 Spring-Ford High School graduate. During her time there, she was a three-season varsity letter winner in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track.

After graduating, Sam went off to East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training in the spring of 2018. She also ran for ESU for two years before retiring from running to focus on her education. During college, she and a few friends co-founded and organized a 5k race in memory of Corporal Bryan K. Dickson, a fallen state trooper and retired marine who was killed in the line of duty in 2014. The first race was in September of 2015 and has continued annually since then. During her last year co-organizing the race, Cpl. Dickson’s oldest son decided to give all of the co-founders his father’s challenge coins.

Once she graduated, she furthered her education and became certified as an EMT in August of 2018. After receiving her licenses in the fall of 2018, she started working in an orthopedic setting and at Penndale Middle School. Coming to Exeter High School in the fall of 2019, she brings in a lot of experience of being able to empathize with an athlete’s mental state during the injury process. Sam looks forward to continuing her education and knowledge
