Three players who helped Oley Valley reach the PIAA final are among eight Berks County girls who have been selected to the first teams of the Pennsylvania High School State Field Hockey Coaches Association All-State first teams.

Senior Sam Buzalewski, junior Shannon Lackey and freshman Sophia Gladieux of Oley Valley were voted to the Class 1A first team along with Schuylkill Valley senior Emma Bressler and Tulpehocken junior Alivia Klopp.

Twin Valley senior Hannah Menge was voted to the Class 2A first team, the only Berks player voted to the first team for the second straight year. The Class 3A first team includes Wilson senior Azure Fernsler and Exeter sophomore Peyton Halsey.

In all, 18 Berks County players received All-State recognition to first teams, second teams or honorable mention.

Halsey had 15 goals and 11 assists to lead Exeter with 41 points. She helped the Eagles qualify for the District 3 3A playoffs.

Named to the second teams were Madison Kline of Oley Valley and Gracey Butsack of Schuylkill Valley in 1A, Ashley Bonetz of Daniel Boone and Kara McClure of Twin Valley in 2A, and Kylie Herb of Wilson in 3A.

Receiving honorable mention were Sydney Gillingham of Oley Valley in 1A, and Alli Huddleson of Berks Catholic, Madison Potthoff of Conrad Weiser, Devon Carroll of Fleetwood and Mikenna Allen of Twin Valley in 2A.
